As the Director of National Architecture at Century Communities, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the residential design strategy across our diverse markets. This position bridges product innovation, technical precision, and brand consistency—supporting the development of high-quality homes that reflect our architectural standards and evolving market needs.
You’ll oversee a wide range of architectural initiatives, from managing a national plan library to coordinating with internal stakeholders and external design partners. Your efforts will ensure the creation of refined construction documents, drive alignment across divisions, and elevate our product offerings in single-family homes, duplexes, townhomes, and condominiums.
Key Responsibilities Include:
· Oversee product development and revisions across residential types: single-family, duplex, townhomes, and condos
· Manage and refine the national plan library, including filing structures and detail archives
· Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to create and optimize Construction Documents for bidding and permitting
· Conduct quality control checks, redlines, and detailed drawing reviews for brand and technical accuracy
· Collect, organize, and respond to division feedback on plans and elevations
· Track plan usage, revisions, and variations across markets
· Support brand standard development and implementation across architectural documents
· Assist with RFPs, vendor coordination, invoicing, and file organization
· Ensure on-time delivery of documentation aligned with project schedules
· Perform other duties as assigned

Education & Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in architecture or related field preferred
· Minimum of 5 years of experience with a production homebuilding architecture firm or builder-side product development team
· Skilled in AutoCAD Architecture, Adobe Acrobat/Bluebeam Revu, Microsoft Office Suite, and Outlook
· Familiarity with Revit and SketchUp is a plus
· Knowledgeable in residential construction methods and building codes
