STUDIO PBA was established in 1977 by Owner, Paul Bergner. Our expertise is in multifamily housing and hospitality. We have designed tens of thousands of multi-family dwelling units across the country in 13 states. Studio PBA enjoys a national reputation for design excellence in multifamily communities.

Our experience includes work-force housing, affordable housing projects, hospitality, adaptive re-use projects, high-density urban infill, transit oriented developments (TOD’s), high rise mixed use developments, and low rise suburban projects. We have detailed projects with many construction types, including wood-frame Type V and Type III construction, concrete frame and post-tensioned concrete slab, and steel frame construction. We have the proven ability to create solutions that demonstrate and document compliance with all applicable building and zoning codes, fire and life safety codes, and all local, state and national accessibility codes, while at the same time producing innovative unit designs that recognize and celebrate the way people want to live in their homes. 

STUDIO PBA has an experienced staff of 46 architects and designers who bring a vast array of skill and knowledge to our projects. Our office is made up of project teams built around a collaborative environment. In addition to our design teams, we have a dedicated Contract Administration department that works hand in hand with the design teams to service our projects to the final certificate of occupancy. We provide the knowledge and experience required to produce design solutions that fit well within their environment, hold great appeal to the end user, and are logical and cost-effective for our clients.
