At MMW Architects, we are committed to contributing positively to the built environment, with minimal effect on the natural environment. We create places that enhance people’s lives by enriching their daily rituals and activities through beauty and efficiency. Our projects respond to the land and climate, as well as to the cultural and historic setting, enlivening and revealing the inherent attributes of the location. We take a holistic view of resource efficiency and sustainability in each project. Site planning, building design, systems design and material selection are interconnected facets of responsible resource efficient design. Architecture has the power to make a difference in the world.

MMW has won major awards for design and sustainability. We are busy in all facets of work currently; however, we are especially busy in upper end residential and boutique commercial.  High design experience is desired. This includes design, but also social and emotional skills when dealing with owners, design curiosity, positive attitudes and complete dedication to the cause of beauty, function and budget.

While quality of life is paramount in the buildings we create, we also know that quality of life in the firm is important. As a result we take part in a variety of outdoor and community activities. Life is too short to not have fun or make a difference in the world. At MMW, we strive to do both.

Our Community

Missoula, Montana was ranked in the top 25 best places to live by Outside Magazine in 2017 and in the top 100 by Livability in 2018.
