CROFT & Associates is an Architectural and Engineering design firm founded in 2004, with headquarters in Kennesaw, GA (North of Atlanta). We are seeking to hire a Senior Project Architect to join our recently opened Golden, CO location and support our Federal Government Business Unit.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

·        Maintain personal utilization rate of 75%

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

·        Lead multidisciplinary project teams consisting of best-in-industry experts

·        Deliver multidisciplinary design and consultancy for projects of national significance

·        Deliver quality work products through the following responsible actions:

o  Leading, executing, monitoring, and improving the document delivery process

o  Identifying project challenges and implementing strategies to resolve issues

o  Reviewing interim work products/submittals and providing timely feedback regarding accuracy, completeness, and overall value to the client

o  Following the CROFT QA/QC process for project execution

·        Ensure timely service delivery through the following responsible actions:

o  Developing and tracking project schedules

o  Coordinating in a timely manner with clients and project team members

o  Determining requirements and managing resources to optimize production

Addressing project issues/challenges proactively to avoid schedule delays

·        Deliver technically successful projects through the following responsible actions:

o  Leading design as Architect of Record for projects of $50 million in construction

o  Independently developing project approach to achieve specified objectives including investigating many variables and accommodating uncertain conditions

o  Independently evaluating, selecting, and applying architectural design creativity, techniques, procedures, and modifications to deliver the project approach

o  Working independently on projects of varying complexity, size, and scope

o  Developing excellent preliminary designs

o  Understanding all applicable codes to produce and permit a complete set of construction documents including written specifications

o  Proactively selecting and managing outside consultants

o  Managing consultants to deliver effective construction cost estimates

o  Coordinating construction administration and reviewing shop drawings

o  Leading design meetings to assure all tasks are assigned and completed

o  Leading technical reviews and effectively managing design consultants

·        Deliver financially successful projects through the following responsible actions:

o  Preparing and adhering to the budget for each project

o  Managing costs of internal and external resources

o  Knowing and managing contract requirements

o  Billing and paying for services in a timely way

o  Communicating effectively/proactively with clients and project team members

·        Produce repeat and new business through the following responsible actions:

o  Developing relationships of deep trust with existing clients

o  Identifying new work opportunities and networking with potential new clients

o  Preparing win-win service proposals that benefit both our clients and CROFT

o  Ensuring client satisfaction and positive ratings through quality work, timely and responsive delivery, excellent customer service, and proactive communications

·        Supervising/mentoring staff professionally to assist in their career development

·        Engaging and participating in CROFT’s team atmosphere

·        Representing the firm with excellence by modeling CROFT core values

·        Actively giving, seeking, and acting on feedback for personal career development, peak professional performance, and resolving project-related technical issues

QUALIFICATIONS

·        Minimum (10) years of experience in architecture

·        BS/MS Degree in Architecture or equivalent

·        Registered Architect (RA) professional registration

·        Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

·        Strong verbal and written communication skills

·        Knowledge of construction codes, design practices, and industry standards

·        Must be eligible to obtain federal security clearance

·        Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Autodesk Revit, and project scheduling programs
