Senger Design Group seeks a senior-level interior designer or interior architect with 8+ years of experience ready to join our award-winning design team in beautiful downtown Colorado Springs, Colorado. The firm collaborates with strategic partners in both the public and private markets to produce a strong portfolio of hospitality, corporate/workplace, health care, senior/affordable/multi-family, historic, retail, faith-based, military, and residential projects.
Ideal candidates must demonstrate an expertise in architectural interiors, FF&E, and project management. The target candidate is a self-starter and leader able to collaborate with other talented designers in a wide range of project types spanning across North America. Responsibilities:
- Lead the design team and collaborate on projects within the broad portfolio
- Lead and participate in the production of architectural interior documents
- Develop and manage project budgets and schedules
- Create, direct, and document FF&E packages
- Mentor other designers on the team
- Collaborate with colleagues, contractors, and industry reps to deliver cohesive project results
- Foster ongoing, productive client, partner, and team relationships
- Contribute to office initiatives, activities, and philanthropy efforts
Minimum Qualifications:
- 8+ years’ experience in interior design or interior architecture
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related field from an accredited school
- NCIDQ accreditation preferred; ASID, IIDA, or other professional affiliation a plus
- Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Bluebeam, SketchUp, InDesign, MS Office
- Outstanding graphic presentation skills
- Excellent written + verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of building and life safety code requirements
- Strong leadership, organization, communication, and relationship management skills
- Capacity to manage multiple projects at varying stages of development
