Position Summary:

Architecture Design Collaborative (ADC) seeks a Senior Designer for a very busy retail, commercial, mixed-use studio. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, detail-oriented, and has the able to work on multiple projects and maintain exceptional quality. They must possess the ability to establish design concepts, manage projects, lead others, assists in technical aspects to ensure design integrity and perform preliminary code analysis while working with budge constraints. They must be able to compile and coordinate with PM for submittals to city planning departments and attend meetings when necessary. Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must.

Qualifications:

8-9+ years of related architecture experience in retail/commercial product type

Knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, Sketch-Up, Bluebeam & Adobe Creative Suite

General Responsibilities:

o  Initiates design concepts and leads design development.

o  Client interface. Manages client interaction and decision making related.

o  Produces ideas that are feasible and in accordance with client needs, and code regulations.

o  Leads consultants

o  Leads design charrettes

o  Ensures junior staff is effectively & efficiently utilizing their time

o  Notifies senior staff if project is requiring scope not in ADC’s scope of work and projects needs and addendum

o  Basic understanding of the Owner/Architect contract and ADC’s Scope of work

o  Works within project budgets and scheduling

o  Generate scope for additional services and proposals

o  Contributes to budget and scheduling review meetings with the project leader

o  Review and participates in project billings

o  Flexibility to travel

Licensing

o  Pursuing licensure and active in the exam process

o  Industry involvement in some capacity

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related design field

LEED accreditation preferred
