Junior Designer/Job Captain

Pivotal Architecture:

Pivotal Architecture is a dynamic and solution driven design firm, specializing is multi-unit residential and mixed-use projects.

We are seeking a junior designer/job captain to join our team. 4-7 years minimum experience preferred within the residential space, with plenty of opportunity to grow, thrive, and create your own path within the firm.

Position Summary:

• Share and own your design ideas and work
• Collaborate within a team environment as both an individual and team member
• Manage, under the supervision of the Project Manager, the production, organization, coordination, thoroughness, and accuracy of the virtual building model and all documents in the drawing set
• Assist the Project Manager to track budget and schedule, anticipate required staff resources and organize workflow
• Communicate and coordinate with client and consultant team
• Participate in all phases of the design process

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Effective verbal, written and graphic communication
• Solution driven, professional approach
• High level of interest and motivation in the creative and technical aspects of the profession
• Possess a strong knowledge of building codes, planning, and zoning principles and practices
• Proficiency in:

-Revit

-AutoCAD

-Adobe Creative Suite

-Bluebeam

-MS Office

-Outlook.

Experience and Education:

• Minimum of 3 years industry experience
• 4-year Architectural degree preferred and/or combination of required education and experience
• Experience in multi-family, sustainable, and/or affordable housing is a plus

Compensation:

• Based on experience – Estimated range is $52,000 - $65,000 annually
