Position Summary: Provides general and technical administrative support to professional architectural and interior design staff as requested. This individual is assigned to specific projects for specific project-type teams. The firm seeks to rapidly develop young architects’ trough hands-on duties related to the construction phase of high-end and architecturally significant projects both within the state and nationally. This position will learn how buildings are constructed, how to best detail their materials, systems, and finishes, and how to coordinate with engineers , contractors, and buildings officials and do so as part of a high-performance team with fast-paced results and significant professional development outcomes. You will also participate in on-site construction meetings and assist with various progress-review site walks and related reports and minutes. Through this position’s daily tasks and the review of shop submittals and RFI’s, you will learn how to better detail and coordinate the technical plans and specs of buildings.
Candidate must be a good professional communicator, both verbally and written, can listen to instructions, has strong self-initiative especially towards problem solving and multi-tasking, responsibly and frequently checks-in with Project Managers, and can consistently demonstrate they can work well with others as part of a team.
This position requires a car and the ability to travel to job sites, various agencies and perform other project related tasks.
Qualifications & Job Requirements:
- A high school graduate required, college graduate preferred
- One to three years' experience in a professional A/E office environment is preferred
- Candidates with deep experience supporting architects, engineers, or contractors in the field (construction sites) will also be considered
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite, specifically Word and Excel
- Proficiency with Bluebeam
- A/E/C and contract experience a plus
- AutoCAD or REVIT abilities a plus
- Construction Management software experience a plus
